A Mere Flesh Wound...

So my girl Sadie was up in a tree ~~AGAIN~~ and before she knew it she was sliding down using only her poor tummy as brakes...

Those that know my wild cat won't be all that surprised by her latest injury...but they may be a little grossed out by it.

This is one of the best/worst wounds she's has had too date

While I know she is in pain I think her real hurt is that this tree got the better of her tonight. :-(

Sadie looses ANOTHER tooth

We're up to 7 poor teeth that have ripped, yanked, twisted, turned and pulled out of her mouth and turned into none other than mom and dad for some cold hard CASH!!!

It's such a common occurrence here at this house that she didn't even tell me this time.

(Hence the missing graphic pictures)

She just pulled it out and proudly brought it to me in the palm of her hand.

She is such a pro that other Mom's have asked Sadie to pull out their kids teeth.

Oh how my kids find the strangest ways to make me proud.

Pretty, Proud and TOOTHLESS!

Please Pray...

Brian and I (and 23 others) are headed to Lima, Peru this Saturday.

A few days ago Sadie began complaining about a stomach ache. At first it was a casual mention but as time went on the complaints became more frequent and it seemed as though the pain was intensifying.

Sadie actually woke up this morning and asked me to take her to the doctors. Which I did. They ran tests on her and they all came up negative with the exception of her white blood count being elevated.

So they are running cultures and they put her on antibiotics until they could narrow down the source of the pain.

The culture reports won't be in until Monday. I will be already be in Peru by then. So needless to say I spent the day worried, concerned and wondering if going to Peru was the appropriate thing to do.

I spent time on me knees seeking the Lord's wisdom here...

Well just hours ago, Sadie confessed that she made the whole story up. Her stomach never really hurt.

She *thought* that if we *thought* she was sick that one of us would stay behind or that we would bring her with us...

Sadie is really having a hard time with Brian and I both leaving and leaving her behind.

Please pray for all of our children this week. It is HARD at best to leave them. It is even more difficult to know that they do not want us to go.

Blood & Gore...

Those of you that know me well ~ know that I like to capture EVERY moment on film that I can. I am just weird like that.

The pulling of two front teeth is NO exception...so if you enjoy blood and gore and self inflicted pain please enjoy these VERY graphic pictures.

Happy 7th Birthday Sadie

To kick off Sadie's 7th birthday we headed to Arabian Nights for dinner. We were able to get front row seats and back stage passes and we even had a birthday cake and special announcement made for her.

Waiting in line - waiting for the doors to open.

Back Stage the kids were able to pet all of the horse and meet the characters in the show.

This cool horse was painted beautiful colors and when he appeared in the show he glowed. Super NEAT!!!

How sweet is this? Madison couldn't see into the stable so my little man picked her up!

Meeting the cast and getting autographs was a special treat for the kids - especially the Birthday Girl.

Her 1st of 3 birthday cakes

Making her 1st of many birthday wishes...
