Ok, here it is....
My morning look for all to enjoy-- a perfectly good morning gone bad thanks to a "friend"....
Courtney (http://storinguptreasuresinheaven.blogspot.com/) as much as I adore you - I don't really like you right now.... :-)
This me after a LATE night with friends, interrupted sleep (thanks to ALL 3 kids in my bed) oh and before my shower and morning coffee.
Nice.
And now, like you I expect ALL those reading (and laughing) to step up and do the same in an effort to spare ME from embarrassing myself alone.
C'mon how bad can it be??

Tuesday's Treasure
This week's installment of Tuesday's Treasure is dedicated to the cute things kids say.
Yesterday I was driving the kids home from school and Ethan begin asking me all of these questions about heaven. Will we eat there? Will we know each other there? Will he see his big dog there (Taz - died 3 years ago). Lots of questions and I was so excited about this very special conversation I was having with my son. When all of a sudden he says "I don't want to go mommy". "I don't ever want to go to heaven".
So naturally I asked why? And this is what my 6 year old said....
"What if I'm walking and there is a hole in a cloud and I don't see it - I will fall all the back to earth and that's a long way mommy". "I don't want to fall".
Oh my word....any spiritual "wisdom" I had intended to share with my maturing son went right out the window.
It took everything out of me to keep my composure and just say "honey, I think you'll be able to fly in heaven".
Thankfully, that worked.
Here's hoping I do much better at the next go around when my children come to me with deep spiritual topics of discussion.

Ginger Bread House Disaster
Ok, so we were given one of those cute little ginger bread houses (oh, by the way, the one I said I would NEVER make)...
Words will hardly due. So the play by play will be done in a picture presentation.

Flashback Friday
It's July 31, 2004....
The night before we plan to leave our comfortable home in PSL and life as we knew it - childless...
Although you might think this flashback is about our journey into parenthood and traveling 1/2 way around the world to meet our children for the very first time.
It's NOT.
Instead it's about my man...and his decision to quit smoking in mist of all of this stress, uncertainty, change and sheer chaos.
He had been smoking since before we meet. So 10+ years. And he was a serious smoker too - 2 1/2 packs a day. He had tried to quit many times and each and every time he failed miserably.
Until July 31, 2004 that is. He went outside for his very last cigarette. Probably enjoyed every drag and upon extinguishing the filthy stick he made a vow that that would be his last.
He quit. Just like that!!
I would have thought he picked the worst time EVER to quit and I would have thought all the nagging I did years prior would have motivated him. But nope - I was wrong in both instances.
It was his detemination to make a scarfice for his children with out any nagging, prodding or *help* from me...
It's been 4 1/2 years and he is still a non-smoker.
Way to go babe!!

Tuesday's Treasure
This Tuesday my "Treasure" is all about 3 amazing women whom I have never met.
These women have enriched my life in ways indescribable.
These women have loved more and sacrificed more than I will ever humanly comprehend.
These women were probably condemned, judged and humiliated...and STILL
These women chose the hard road for the good of another.
These women are the Birth Mothers to my 3 fearfully & wonderfully made children.
These women aloud my children to be knitted in their womb knowing they'd call another mom.
These women have fulfilled my life's desire.
These women have brought me joys, tears, a heart of Thanksgiving and compassion.
These women have completed me while leaving a void in themselves.
These women are hero's to me.
I am eternally thankful for these women. It is my hope and prayer that one day I am personally able to hug them and thank them for a wonderful life, wonderful children and the opportunity to be something I never would have been with out them - A MOM!
